I'm driving a Northern Ireland registered car and have just received a speeding fine in Dublin. Can anyone advise if this can be enforced?

Yes it can. There was a mutual agreement between RoI and NI some years ago, as there were so many NI motorists speeding and getting away with it.

Toll charge fines are cross-border too.

They still do it...they're an absolute nightmare on the M50 in particular and have a habit of high speed tailgating too

    Guys,

Please don't let this turn into a slating of Northern drivers. Speeding statistics would record a high number of southern registered vehicles speeding also. I was just looking for some genuine advice. I was recorded driving at 56 in a 50 so hardly wreckless and was rushing to find a safe place to pull over as my little baby had just been sick in the back of the car.

If you have advice I'll appreciate it.

    Obey the speed limits.
