Hi, returned from a trip this morning at 1am, and in airport car park, noticed that my car key is no longer working. Not the remote, or neither couldnt i unlock the door manually from the passanger side (only place where there is a keyhole in this car)
The fob seemed to be working, red light was lit when i pressed the button..nothing happened.. tried for 20 minutes.
Tried to open manually aswell, but the key just turns left or right and does not open the doors.

Called roadside assistance, who basicly breaked in to my car, and opened the door so i could drive away.

Any idea what this could be?

When im pressing the central locking key inside the car, i just hear a small click somewhere.

Did she start first time? My guess would have been battery.

When you got home, could you lock it?

car started instantly when i got in, so it isn't the battery. Couldn't lock the car.. Might be the battery in the fob which has died after doing some google searches..it can blink red and still have too low power level to operate. Will try to replace that

Changed the battery to tke keyfob, no effect. I can open and lock the car from the button that is inside the car, so the central locking itself is working fine. Can the key go out of sync or something?
