Kingstown Junior Chess Club is currently looking for new members. Our meetings will takes place in the new Dun Laoghaire Central Library starting in September 2014; most likely, on Saturday afternoons. The new library building is located between the seafront and the Royal Marine Hotel, within two minutes' walk from Dun Laoghaire DART station.

Our club is suitable for all ages from 8 to 18. Club membership is going to be completely free but we'll be able to accommodate a limited number of players, so early applications are advisable. If we enter a team in the Leinster League (i.e. in the Bodley Cup), which we intend to do, the parents of the team members will be expected to pay their ICU and LCU fees, either directly or via the club.

Adult players willing to compete for our Bodley Cup team are also welcome to join us.

If you want your children to improve their chess, play casual chess, Leinster League chess, or any kind of chess, simply let us know by e-mailing kingstownchess[at]gmail.com, replacing [at] with @.

Kingstown Chess Club located in the new Dun Laoghaire library on the sea front will open its doors in two or three weeks. We'll be meeting on Saturday afternoons, 1.30pm to 5pm. Juniors aged from 8 to 18 are very welcome to join us. To reserve a place, please e-mail us at kingstownchess[at]gmail.com. Also, we would like to hear from more or less experienced adult players who are currently without a club: you are practically guaranteed a place on our Leinster League team (we'll start in the Bodley Cup, or whatever the lower division will be called this year).
