Periodontal Treatment?

    Hi Folks,

Last year I was referred to a periodontist by my dentist such as to the progression of my gum disease which seems like it was more inherited as opposed to carelessness so in October I underwent periodontal treatment at<no names> in Newry costing £600 over 2 visits with the examination prior costing £90, I went back today for a review of the treatment costing another £90.

At the front I have two teeth with movement in them the lower front which has most such as to the recession at that tooth and the front upper known as the lateral incisor has slight movement which she tells me the prognosis of it isn't good (although neither of these give me trouble pain wise) in the long-term and surgery or braces isn't advisable just yet as I was considering braces to straighten my teeth and close up gaps, now they are asking me back for my next appointment to do a little but more cleaning (not as intense), so my question is from what I just said would it be recommended to continue with this plan as I find it very expensive and not sure where its going to end, am I right to go with this or should I get a 2nd opinion?

    Thanks in advance
    Francie
