 Guys, I've often wanted to buy things from the bay which come in at 20 kgs or more. They are usually 'collection only'. Can anybody recommend a reliable courier that will collect from an address in the UK ( or even the EU ) and deliver to the ROI.?

If you can get the dimensions and weight I'd go with parcel2go.co.uk. They're normally good value for once off collections/deliveries.

I would be emailing the seller before bidding to tell them of your plan.

I would expect many would be wary of it, expecting the buyer to collect in person.

Thanks. I can't really see a problem if the item is paid for and the seller agrees to have a courier pick it up.
I often bought from shops in the UK who will organize their own courier to deliver.UK sellers on #bay seem well attuned to the Irish market !

I did it twice myself recently and used myhermes who delivered to parcel motel in northern ireland and then down to dublin. It was fairly handy, seller had no bother with it, asked them beforehand, and just got weight and dimensions off them and forwarded them on the shipping label and that was it.

Myhermes worked out cheaper than all the rest, and i could track online and everything went smoothly
