tree trimming cost

I need to get a quote for tree trimming for a grant. any company I rang said they would have see the trees but it would cost. surely there is some standard price for this. when I google all I get is $ cost

not a very big one I'd say :-) I was just told to write a list with costs ie insurance, tree trimming running costs of lawnmower etc. its for a residents association

A tree surgeon would need to see what the job involves so they can give you a price, tree surgeons day rates/hourly rates will vary and the speed of work cab vary too.

Are you putting together prices for you to do the job?

Do you need major work done on the trees, in which case you will need a tree surgeon, or is it a matter of tidying up medium sized trees and shrubs?

Are you being asked to pay for an assessment of the trees? It seems very odd that you are asked to pay for a quote1
