Pour over.

Have been using a V60 & a Chemix for years now and I must say they are now my go to brew methods.

I bought a goose neck pitcher recently and it has made a massive difference to my brews. The control it gives is fantastic. I would really recommend picking one up if you are into pour over and dont already have one.

This is the one I went for.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it.

    Joe.

Looking to pick up a Chemix soon but I've heard a V60 is just as handy and not as delicate (not as pretty though).

Both are fantastic brewers. Yes, the Chemix need to be handled with care alright. The V60 is quite a bit cheaper, you can pick up a plastic one plus a packet of 100 papers for well under 20 quid.I think the glass & ceramic ones are about 25.

Chemix will give a bit more clarity to your cup but that said the V60 is really clean too.

Defiantly pick up a pouring kettle/pitcher. As far as I know Karl (Coffeeangel) will be stocking the one I linked to again. The Hario ones are lovely but quite pricey.

Arrghhh, been thinking I wanted a small kettle for work for when my hausgrind arrives later this week ... must not press buy now :)
+1 on a good pourer/kettle. especially if you are doing small brews as you can really stretch out the pour. My hario buono gets daily use (its also real handy for filling up the water reservoir for the wipers in the car ;) )

I have both a ceramic and a plastic V60 ... happy to lend you one of them to play around with. I'd bought a beautiful glass recepticle way back for the V60 but it smashed in its early months of service.

IMO a chemex ain't all that delicate. I have a granite counter top and believe me the chemex has taken a few knocks on it over the years and its still in one piece.

Thanks for reminding me, I must dig out my 1 cup V60.

This is the one I got recently. Took a couple of weeks to arrive.

It has made a huge difference to my brew with a V60 or Chemex. I didn't get the pourover love until I got a proper pourer.
Both make excellent cups of coffee.

I hope you raise your kettle in the air and pour in a swirly motion to fill your car reservoir.

A Hario buono is definitely on the list. At the moment I'm trying to decide between the chemix or a nice v60 and drip decanter. I suppose the chemex is both the brewer and decanter so maybe that's the better buy.
