    Hello,
I'm exporting a commercial 4x4 to the North which was originally a passenger here in the South. Can I still reclaim the VRT?

Likewise how does one reclaim the motor tax?

    Thanks

Was VRT ever paid on in in Ireland as for passenger vehicle?

If so, just get quotation from VRT export calculator, and if figure is satisfactory to go with the process, book an appointment for vrt export examination on ncts website.

Once you do the examination (this costs 32 quid afaik), you have 30 days to remove vehicle from this country.
Once it's registered in the north, then you forward documents proving it to revenue, and they will issue VRT refund.
Motortax refund will need to be applied in motor tax office I assume, and also documents proving it was registered in the north will be needed. Lowest they can refund is 3 months.

Yes. VRT was paid as a passenger and it has since been converted to commercial.

    Would this be ok?
