    Hi all.

Looking for a large (27"+) 120hz monitor, any good budget options out there?

Currently have a packard bell 230ws and a lg flatron w2242S side by side, what would be a fair price to sell these for on adverts?

    Thanks.

What are you going to be doing with the monitor, out of curiosity? Could be that a 120Hz monitor isn't the best-suited. Also, an idea of what you're willing to spend would be good, as there's quite a spread when it comes to 27" monitors.

Playing online poker(many tables) and competitive FPS games like quake cs and unreal tournament. I guess 300e would be a good starting point

Honestly... Have you thought about a Rift?

UT has been dead in the water competitively since UT3 launch, unless I've missed something :P

There's still random cups and stuff run in ut99, some for money. Anyway maybe I should have said fast paced fps instead :)

I really hope he wasn't implying to use the Ocolus Rift playing those games :D

Can barely find any 2k4 servers anymore lol... why I was wondering.

And only if you fancy throwing up on a regular basis i'd imagine!

    Thinking about this http://www.hardwareversand.de/68+cm+%2827%29+/65754/ASUS+VG278HE.article

    Its 144hz right?

    Or this http://www.hardwareversand.de/68+cm+%2827%29+/109026/iiyama+ProLite+GB2773HS.article

Any ideas which I should get?

The asus has a better stand and higher refresh rate aswell as 3D but is a good bit more expensive. I won't be using 3D at all I'd say

if youre doing lots of poker, resolution would be everything. 32" 4k starts around €560 and 27" 1440p around €250.

    both are 60hz though..

if youre set on 120hz+, do yourself a favour and get a 3D LightBoost 2 compatible monitor. its got a number of improvements over Gen1.

you might not be interested in 3D now, but having the option later doesn't hurt.

popular views are that 2-3-4 ways screens are better than singular larger ones.

A pair or triplcate of LG Flatrons at 90o would be the cheapest and best option.

Just make sure they're 'IPS' screens e.g. IPS24... etc not WS24

That's still 1920px x 1080x2/3 wide, so total area upto 1920x3240 for triple
Better still quad it up hoz layout and its 3840x2160,

    Still cheaper than x1 large 27 mac screen with 2560 x 1440.
Poker won't require pro-colour calibrations neither...

I just sold my 2 screens, would prefer 1 large one. I don't play many new pc games, mainly older fps ones where precision is important

    Ordered this

    https://www.hardwareversand.de/68+cm+%2827%29+/109026/iiyama+ProLite+GB2773HS.article

Paid via bank transfer on banking 365, it showed up as a sepa transfer, its different than the last time I ordered something with hwvs. I assume its just new terminology used by BOI? Didn't give me anywhere to write a note or put in a order number but they`ll see my name etc I hope?

I`ll ring them tomorrow, I've bought stuff from them in the past so I'm not too worried

Yeah its a new standardised payment brought in by the EU i believe

Still no confirmation from HWVS they received the payment, I did ring them and send emails but no reply. Should I be worried?

No, because it was Easter. Most likely they were off Friday to Monday.
