MP5K-PDW flash hider removal

I recently bought this Umarex MP5K Can anybody tell me if the flash hider can safely be removed from the front without damaging the gun? The little lever on the flash hider seems welded into place i can't budge it and i don't want to force anything. Just want to mount a suppressor

Its a spring system u might need to give it a little turn and then push down on the end of the lever.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BH8I3XrjOE Not the best vid but the only one i could find.
