    The UCU has secured the services of top English GM Gawain Jones for a thirty board simultaneous display on Wednesday 14th May.

    The event will take place in Belfast city Centre at the R.B.A.I (Belfast Inst.) Common Hall, first moves 6:45pm sharp. The fee for playing is £30.
    After last year's highly successful simul given by Nigel Short, demand is expected to be high, so contact Damien Cunningham as soon as possible to secure your seat.

    This took place last night. Over 28 boards, Jones won 26 and drew two (against David Houston and Alan Thomason). Keep an eye on the Ballynafeigh website for a report soon.

    It went very well, some cracking efforts from junior players who had no right to be playing as solid as that. Quite impressive
