Wrong Age on Driving Licence.

A family member was born in 1944 so will turn 70 soon. Normally a driving licence expires at the 70th birthday and from then on they issue three-year licences subject to medical certs.

We were wondering why this person has heard nothing from the licensing authority so I took a look at the licence. It seems that somewhere back in the years the date of birth somehow became 1946. So the licence runs for another two years even though the person has passed 70.

The question is: is this a valid driving licence or do we need to do something about it? Would insurance be void if this licence is invalid?

Insurance might be an issue now as he actually knows there is a mistake. Just contact your local NDLS centre tomorrow. They'll tell you for sure.
