Before I strip off the front bumper ro look at this, can anybody tell me if the reinforcement bar bolts on/off or is it welded in place.

    Cheers in advance guys

It doesn't I'm afraid. I've had a couple of Pumas which is basically a MKIV Fiesta in a pretty dress, and one had a frontal impact. It's welded on pretty immovably. What's wrong with yours?

thanks for the reply, yeah had a look and discovered just that. It was in a small impact, and the bumper bar is dented, throwing off the position of the headlamp, front grill etc.

I had hoped to do a swap if it was bolt on/bolt off, but it looks like slide hammer time

My mechanic did something similarly techie; he attached a big rope to it and the other end to a land rover, and pulled it back out. New bumper and lights and you'd never know the difference!
