Triax TSC114 problem

    Hi

I've had a Triax TSC114 combi-box for a couple of years. Recently, while watching the satellite channels, they occasionally break up and then a No Satellite Signal message appears. This has become more frequent over the last couple of weeks, and now happens most evenings. Turning the box off and back on sometimes fixes the problem.

My guess is that the box itself is failing. However, before I go and replace it, has anyone else had a similar problem? I'd like to make sure its not a problem with the actual dish and cables - its an original Sky dish about 5 years old, and the problem happens regardless of which of the two coax cables are being used.

Any help would be much appreciated, as well as advice on a replacement for the box. I haven't been happy with the Triax, but just want something simple to use for both Saorview and FTV satellite channels.

    kieran

I wouldn't think the box is the problem. Might just be dish misalignment, doesn't take much.

High winds over last while may have moved your dish, I'd check that first.

It may also be water getting in to connections
