I am over a year totally free from alcohol.

I am giving full credit to a book called "Kick the Drink Easily" written by Jason Vale.

Everything in my life was being destroyed by drink and it's only when I had freed myself from alcohol that I could see what it was doing to me.

It was destroying every part of my life. Everyone here knows what I was talking about.

I first bought a book written by Allen Carr called "Allen Carr's Easy Way To Control Alcohol".
I personally found it hard to hold intrest in this book and didn't finish it at the time.

A few years later (approx - Jan 13) I came across Jason Vale's "Kick the Drink Easily" in a book shop.
I enjoyed this book. Jason's wit and easy reading language hit home with me and that finished me with the Drink.

I have read the book a few times now, mostly for enjoyment and have also read Allen Carr's book also.
Both book are based on the same principle but I just preferred Jason Vale's book.

I have such confidence in these books that I will give a book to anyone that is interested in getting rid of alcohol from there life.
I will post a book FREE of charge to anyone interested. Just PM where you would like it posted to.

All you need is an Open mind and enjoy the read at your own pace.

I will try and answer any querys that anyone may have.

I was the recipient of the Jason Vale book. Read it a couple of times. It's quite entertaining and although Jason admits he's no wordsmith, his simple style is perfect for what he's aiming to do. It REALLY changed my view of drink. I went from being someone who was trying to "give up" something to someone who was actually "gaining" something far better, a better life and a freedom from booze. It sounds simplistic perhaps but that change in mindset really set me on my way.

I can't thank tealcottage enough for sending it to me.

If anyone here would like it, simply PM your address and I will send it on as soon as I can.

Thank you! Same to you. You can know that your kindness will always be remembered by me. Twas worth a lot more in the grand scheme of things than just bunging a book in the post.

I am currently reading this, enjoying it and abstaining because of it.

    The one idea that's stuck with me so far is;

Alcohol is the only drug in the world that you have to justify saying no to.

Why would you want to try to gain control of something that does nothing for you? Why would you want to try to control a disease instead of getting rid of it?

One of my fave so far.

I like the phrase "Give it up for good"

It's not giving it up to endure misery or suffering.

You are giving up the booze because it is bad.
