Looking for old Outlook emails after Win7 instail

I've just upgraded a friends computer from XP to Win7. I thought I'd copied everything, but missed their emails in outlook. As I did a clean install I thought I lost them, but remembered that while doing the install Windows said it would create and folder called "windows old" in the new install to keep settings. Would this include emails?

Alternatively as it's an Eircom email account, should I be able to retrieve the last few months worth of mail off the Eircom server?

Have a look in "C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook" You should see a PST file in there; that contains the e-mail messages and can be imported back into Outlook.

For Outlook 2010 it might be in "C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Outlook Files".

It is a common problem i.e. faced by Outlook users due to lack of backup knowledge or loss in data files. Just go through local disk to know current status of Outlook data files. In case of deletion, you have a single option i.e. recovery methodology.

To know its process, watch a video tutorial at:
