    Hi,
I have casual knowledge of someone based near Limerick/Shannon who works for an aviation company that has him flying all over Europe interfacing with customers and being on aircraft for some type of inspection or contract type work.

Can anyone give me any ideas what companies are in Ireland doing this and how I might apply?

I am an Irish citizen who lives in US but seeking international opportunities.
    Have 30 years avionics/flight control/instrumentation engineering background.

    Thanks

Aviation leasing is a big industry in Ireland. Gecas is one of the biggest and is based in Shannon. There are loads of leasing companies located in the financial centre in Dublin as well.

Given your background, you would probably be a good candidate for the technical side of leasing.

Yes a search of Irish aircraft leasing companies should yield a few results. There are quite a few and with the right background. There should be opportunities.

It's something I've been considering myself actually.
