Hi, I was just wondering is it possible to change the memory, graphics card...etc etc for ultra book. I use my ultra book to play games and I find it great but I was just wondering if I could change the parts to continue using it to play games that might need higher spec to play. Thanks

most have limited upgrade possibilities with soldered parts etc. Google your "<make/model> upgrade" or check if your laptop is referenced in ifixit.com. In depth reviews often outline limitations in this regard or you could check forums related to your machine (try forum.notebookreview.com)

"Ultrabooks" don't have graphics cards, this is why they are terrible for most games. They use intel integrated graphics, which means the cpu does the graphics. Despite intels marketing blurb it isn't very good at it. Sure it will run stuff, but at very low settings and resolutions - and forget about things like antialiasing etc.

A cheapo pc is a much much better option for playing games.

Most of the new Ultrabooks (Haswell chip) have soldered on Ram so it is best to buy upgraded at time of purchase.

Ok you got me. Initially most of them had intel integrated, but it seems some now have nvidia. Are these as thin as the others? Still lousy for games tho, and forget about upgrading.
