I'm looking at buying one of these secondhand. The spec says "DVB-T Digital terrestrial services (MPEG2 and MPEG4-AVC(H.264))".

Does that mean it'll receive the Saorview channels including the HD ones?

    Thanks, Paul

PS There was a thread showing which models worked with Saorview but I can't seem to find it:confused:.

Thats correct however, it will do the full guide and program information providing you select France as your country when setting up.

You can renumber the channels and put them in correct order also.

    Bad value unless it's free.

    Why so:confused:?

It's a 42" full HD plasma from arguably the best manufacturer of plasma's. As well as Saorview it has HDMI inputs for a HD freesat box and a Blu-ray player. It may not handle Irish text but I don't use that anyway.

To be fair teletext was pretty useful up until the widespread proliferation of err... The internet :)

I have said that that's a bit harsh.

Without starting an LCD V Plasma debate, it's an excellent TV which out preforms the majority of LCD screens.

If you have a critical eye for picture quality, you will see the detail in the shadows that's lost in an LCD panel and it's far superior on SD content than the LCD panel.

The only downside is that it will use more electricity.

I agree with the usefulness or lack of with teletext.
