I have a humax stb which has a fab TV guide and series link which is great/ I have an avira 150 in other room but it has not got series link/ other than the humax option .....very very expensive option/ is there any other stb that has the series link option only need it for freesat really...thks

Only other option alongside the humax would be a manhattan freesat box

After that you can use a linux based box such as the amiko alien2 or Gigablue boxes discussed across the board to do this. But they are probably more expensive that an generic freesat box.

There are a couple of Freesat+ receivers (with series link/internal HDD), cheaper than the Humax such as the Manhattan mentioned above, Goodmans and Sagemcom.

thks cush/ I eventually went for the new humax. 288 euro from amazon.
319 cheapest I could find here - varying to 370....amazon well worth considering...!
