Lugged carbon frame?

I want a custom lugged carbon frame but can only see 3 manufacturers that do it.

The 3 I see are WR Compositi, Festka and Sarto.

I talked to WR Compositi over the phone and they were legends, broken English but still very amicable.

The other two I tried to contact but no reply via e-mail and all I got was Italian over the phone so I hung up.

I got a quote of 3,200 for a custom frame and fork to which I thought was fairly steep.

For this money I am going beyond custom ti frames from the like of Seven and heading into Indy Fab XCR frame territory.

Indy Fab XCR or a custom carbon frame?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated

lugged carbon or are you talking about lugged carbon ti?

if you mean lugged carbon well then colnago and time are both huge. you're not going to get a better frame for spending an extra 2 grand on a small time business

dont know is your message concise for what you actually mean and its not an advert!!

Yes I know Colnago and Time are specialists in lugged carbon but I wanted something a little special to be honest. I wanted something different, a guy in the club has a C59 and sure it looks good but its kind of boring tbh.

It is simply carbon and not ti, I was comparing the price of the smaller companies to custom seven ti frames and the indy fab xcr frame to which are similar.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a smaller company and if it is worth paying double to be different?

Parlee do lugged custom carbon and in my opinion you would be doin well to find a nicer frame, I don't think 3000 would buy it though. Legend, Italian make, do custom carbon not sure if it's lugged and their frames are very vdry nice. Cyfac, crumpton are two others that spring to mind, they are both American, I think.

Aaand this is exactly what confused me!
There wouldnt be many c60's with SR11 RS around if you wanna spend!

I dont know of the smaller brands to be honest. theres a few of such brands in countries like lithuania and ukraine. Wittson is one i think but theyre mainly ti--carbon

The Parlee certainly seems like the most desirable of pretty much any bike going. I was lucky enough to have seen a Z5 in Velo Cafe Magasin in Belfast last year. The Z1 looks awesome so I will definitely consider that. I forgot about Cyfac entirely, I think they are French if my memory serves me best but I am not familiar with what they offer but I will definitely look into them. Thanks for the info!

I have seen a really nice parlee z2 with beautiful carbon lugs for sale in the uk, I think it was a m/l and I think asking was about 2000 sterling but it really is a thing of beauty. It was either on bike radar or singletrack forum I think. Outdoor escape in mulligar stock parlee too.
