Multilayer wrap insulation/ThermaWrap insulation

    Hey

I renovated the house a few years ago, all the outside walls of house I put insulated slab. At that stage I put a few rolls of fibreglass insulation in attic. I more or less just piled it on top of each other so it was running across the joists.

Anyway things have changed and looking for extra space so I have decided to floor out the attic, so I have most a bit of it but had to cut back insulation and pack it in between joists and not sure if it is enough.

When doing up the house under all the floors down stairs I put down Multilayer wrap insulation, it was stuff that came in from Oz because at that stage was hard to get in Ireland. The place I got it from is closed now.

Anyway was thinking about rolling this out over joists and then putting the flooring on top of it. Looking on internet and can only really see Thermawrap as a company but there stuff looks poor quality... Just looking for idea's in Ireland where this type of insulation is available for sale but quality stuff, willing to pay for better quality. Any idea's where I can get it? thanks

    Don't "pack" fibre insulation

I wouldn't do that...you might well be creating a moisture trap.
