Hi all, as you can see I am new here so please bear with me. I don't actually know why posting only for a bit of advise really.
Last say 2 weeks I've been suffering a bit of anxiety  Came on all of a sudden, not depressed etc., besides the usual life stresses like money, bills etc. think maybe a work thing triggered it, staying with the same company but different job and I think I had myself so worked up about it that I had a bit of a panic attack. Went to doc and he prescribed me 2 x lowest dose Xanax per day for 10 days. I'm on day 3 taking them and in all fairness they are giving me some relief but have read/heard a lot of horror stories about them. Do you think I should continue on taking them for the remainder, have around 14 left? He says that it should be gone by then, so hopefully. I mean all the people around me with much worse lives and I mean much worse and I'm cribbing over a bit of work, some might say I'm lucky to have a job but I cannot help it. I keep telling myself to cop onto myself!!!
Anyone have a similar experience where it just went again?

I am locking this and moving it to Personal Issues. PI mods can decide whether it's ok or not.

OP, you have taken the steps to see a medical professional, who has prescribed you medication based on his or her diagnosis. While posters here may have had similar experiences, nobody here is qualified to tell you to go against your doctor's wishes and stop taking your medication. If you are worried about the potential side affects, then I suggest getting another appointment with your GP and discussing your worries with him or her. Thread shall remain closed.

    Regards,
    Mike
