I am tempted to buy myself a new tablet to use at GV since we al need a laptop/tablet/mobile device to use.

I probably would have gone for an iPad mini but we need flash.

    Anyone suggest a good alternative?

I don't fancy booting up my laptop all the time. (Good excuse to treat myself for securing a place at GV ;) )

Officially the Nexus tab doesn't support Flash. There are workarounds for both it and the iPad. I use Puffin browser on my iPad, but it's not always reliable.

I was thinking of the Lenovo yoga tablet but it has no flash player. I have a laptop so was just looking for a good tablet for handiness.

Anyone any ideas on a chromebook?

I have a chromebook they are good for online stuff. The only problem that I can see is that it doesn't always open word documents in the correct format and size. The google document writer isn't great for essays etc as it isn't very user friendly

Depends if MS office needed. Asus do a good tablet with windows and a detachable keyboard. May cover all bases.

I was thinking along the lines of Asus tablet. I think I'll ask at Induction too, see what they recommend.

My advice is a laptop. But it's personal choice. A lot of pre reading to do and a lot of videos to watch so you need Flash player.

i'd say a laptop would be better. Would mean you could save work onto a USB for use elsewhere if required.
