    does anyone know of the cheapest way to get from dublin to ljubljana in slovenia in aug. of this year

    Not a particularly easy place to get to but Lufthansa would get you there for around €400. 11 hour travel time though with lengthy waits in Frankfurt.

    You could try Ryanair to Northern Italy or Zadar and hire a car or seek out public transport.

    Easyjet fly direct from Stansted, Ryanair will get you to Stansted.

    Was there 3 years ago. got cheap flight to stansted and then on to trieste in Italy. got bus into slovenia. ljubjanna just an hour away. was cheapest way

    Fly to Venice with Aer Lingus, there is a direct bus from the airport ...think the bus takes about three hours though.

    Klagenfurt airport, Austria is nearby. I expect there's a bus or train to L. but I've not made the journey by public transport myself.
    Easyjet fly Stanstead to Lubljana

    Edit: Seems Klagenfurt is served by national carriers - not the cheap flight destination I thought.
