hi , I've probably answered my own question on this.

Mrs Bilko has a Samsung Galaxy Ace phone (GT-S5830i) and has been upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy (GT-I9195) but for the life of me , her original phone won't connect to my mac in order to sync the contacts.

I think there's compatability issues but I'm not a techno nerd by any stretch of the imagination.

    Has anyone any suggestions?

    Thanks

Honestly, the easiest thing you can do is back up her contacts on Google on the Ace, and then restore them to the S4 when you sign in with Google.
That'll copy it all over for you.
