Where to but shoes in Dublin or Maynooth?

    Dear all,

I bought Eco autumn and winter two pairs of shoes in 2012 and both did not last even two years. Unfortunately the soul in each collapsed quickly (probably fake copy). When it's rainy (Irish typical weather), the water comes inside and so absolutely embarassing to wear them.

As I'm a foreigner and don't know about Irish shops, would like to ask you where can I go and buy a good pair of shoes (summer ones at the moment but will need autumn pair too)? Please recommend your places in Maynooth or Dublin.

    With love!

If you like Ecco shoes you would probably consider some of these brands: Rieker, Hotter, Clarks, Jenny by Ara, Gabor, Skechers, Footgloves (from Marks and Spencer).

I'm not that familiar with shoe shops in Dublin but I know this place stocks several of the brands mentioned above and they seem to offer good value http://dublintown.ie/shop/o-neills-shoes/

I hope you find something nice!

There is a show store in Manor Mills shopping centre in Maynooth - it's small but they do nice stuff.

Liffey Valley has loads of shoe shops, lots of selection so defo worth a look.

Thank you for reply. I'm now considering to visit Liffey Valley. I see in google maps this area before Palmerstown. Will try to sit on the 66 (or 67) bus and go there. If anybody knows the best stop from which I can go on foot to the shoe shop, please let me know.

There's only one stop for liffey valley. You just have to walk into the centre from it. I'd also recommend Clarkes shoes if you're looking for quality.

I found their website. Yep I'm looking for quality. What other brands would you recommend (men's wear) except Clarks? All I know is Geox and Ecco, but I will not take them this time.

Thank you for introducing to the new brands and best wishes!

Sorry, I assumed you were a woman for some reason! Dubarry is another good brand you could try, and Rieker as mentioned above. Both make very high quality shoes that should last a few years.
