2008 Skoda fabia failed nct as electric windows don't work properly. Just taken it to a main dealer, they say both driver side and passenger side motors need replacing, and quoted €500 to replace and fix problem. Need a driver side window switch as well. Seems a lot of money, any ideas on how to do it cheaper? I could…

Seems a lot of money, any ideas on how to do it cheaper? I could probably buy a secondhand car for near enough €500!

I hate electric windows with a passion, but it came with the wife.

hi hope this helps im a 2008 fabia driver i get most of my needs off mrauto.ie,superskoda is good for accessories and briskoda is a must for all skoda drivers(skoda forums technical guides etc)id stay away from breakers etc as invariably you go through a lot of hassle getting the exact part ,even down to wipers its cheaper to get them shipped good luck.
