Sony Z1 cannot sync contacts up to Gmail

    Hi all,
    For some reason I am unable to sync my phone contacts up to Gmail contacts.
    I have tried both auto and forced synchronizations.

    My Gmail e-mail address is the one registered and I just cannot seem to copy them over.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Got it . . .
    had to import contacts from sim card to internal memory on the phone and then sync.
