I'm moving from north to South and need to open southern bank account.

What are the best banks for a current account - I would also like a bank that has a really good banking app as I am with danske bank in the north and they have a really good app. Unfortunately though they have stopped operating in the south for personal banking.

    Thanks

In the UK, most banks offer free current accounts. In Ireland, most banks charge for current account.

However, PTSB offer free current accounts, if you deposit at least 1,500 EUR per month. They have a good easy to use app as well.

PTSB is the way to go for a current account once you can manage the €1,500 bit - no question!
