Security guard's face burnt in horrific attack

A security guard at the Northside Shopping Centre had a chemical substance thrown in his face and was stabbed last night.
The incident took place in Coolock at around 9:00pm last night.
The security guard, who is believed to be male and in his 20s, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital by ambulance.
A spokesman for the Dublin Fire Brigade said that he understood the injuries were serious, which was why the hospital had been notified prior to the man’s arrival.
Reports say the security guard had been stabbed, possibly twice.

If the holes in the cage were big enough to let you kick him would they not be big enough to let him escape?

Hopefully they have the incident in CCTV. Was it a personal feud, must have been to do something so extreme.

Ya with some luck they were caught on CCTV. some one had to have seen this happen or the person running away i hope they come forward

Northside is a kip, the attack was probably for no major reason. The security up there don't have it in anyway easy.

Hope so yes. Wonder what the substance was, bleach? acid? Hope it didn't get in his eyes.

That is the problem either he will get a slap on the rist or if he does get locked up he will be just joining his mates to have a holiday as lot of them enjoy being in prison.

I doubt it was a random attack in the true sense of the word, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was an attack over a small slight - telling some gougers to move on or something, and they came back later on and attacked him. Like the murders of Pawel Kalite and Marius Szwajkos, some scum will explode over nothing.

The perpetrator of this assault is utter scum.

The security guard went in to work that day to make a living and he left with a life changing injury inflicted by some piece of human garbage.

What good will the person who did this ever be to society in general? We'll have to babysit him for the rest of his life and dole out limpwristed "punishment" to him whenever he decides to commit a crime like this. Wouldn't it be better for everyone if he just disappeared?
