Original content removed and MOD NOTE placed. Text is a mod note, not written by the OP.

Normally these threads are removed, but due to the increasing numbers of them i thought it best to place a notice rather than simply delete. It is not a "dig" at the OP.

Unfortunately under section 45 of the wildlife act as amended in 2000, trade of wild animals/birds is one of those things we have to be careful of.

We're all aware this is a very common practice but it could still cause trouble for the site and the people doing the call bird swap. We contacted the NPWS about it and they would not or could not give us a straight answer.

We have been told by some that they were told it's okay legal, fine. However when we asked for an "official" statement from the same body that told them this we have never received it. I say this not to embarrass or belittle anyone,. but we need this official letter/statement to keep the site covered. Frankly when i've seen people receive official letters stating deer can be shot with a .223 i wonder at the validity of these letters even if they are official.

Therefore to keep our members, and the site protected from any possible illegalities we have remove any reference to sale, trade of call birds. Apologies for this, but I hope you all can see where we am coming from.
