Amazing footage, surprised a plane hasn't been taken down by one of these yet!

Now that is a terrifying thought!

How come there wasn't flames & smoke and stuff behind it?

It was 'only' going 500kmph, not enough for the fireworks.

...it has been slowed by atmospheric braking, and has cooled and is no longer luminous.

Not a good idea to skydive and be stoned.

Doubt it is fake. Though pretty damned insane.

Don't know if they sound attractive. They often sound like German but where the speaker has a hot potato in their mouth.

They are interesting though, esp in the way some words are similar to English words/Irish words/Scots words.

You always hear these mad statistics like 'you're more likely to be killed by a stampede of elephants than you are to win the lottery'

This story came so close to allowing us to say with a straight face that 'you're more likely to be hit by a falling meteor while skydiving than you are to win the lottery'

Is it not more likely to have been a stone that was accidentally packed with his chute?

My thoughts exactly, or something that fell off/out of the plane.

Not as impressive as when Keanu Reeves jumped out of a plane parachuteless and caught up with Paddy Swayze.

    Totally gnarly, maaan.

Looked a bit like pebble dash to me. A bird probably got stuck in the wing and with one last gallant heave demonstrated what he thought of sky divers. Pity he missed
