Looking at pto generators, has anyone advice in general or good or bad makes?
Told some cheaper ones run at 3000rpm rather than 1500rpm, but not as good?
Some have heaters to keep away dampness. Advised to run them several times a year, under load. We never had one here, so trying to find out as much as I can about them before I buy one.

Don't know what speed ours runs at. Must look at the plate on the side. PTO modes usually have a "speed light" which flashes as you rev up the tractor. when flashing turns to a steady light, you are running at the correct speed. Try and get a "Magnate"
or "Fromate" model . Try and use a tractor which either has an economy PTO speed or at least is doing 540 at a lower engine speed. older Deere's had to be at 2200 revs for 540, for example. don't set it up so that you have a tractor snoring away outside your kitchen window. consider getting one on a tractor3 point linkage, so you can be mobile to weld out the land if need be. although a mobile one may not be deductible for tax reasons . (depends what it says on the receipt ) try and buy a UK made one. better chance of aftermarket help if anything should go wrong.

Also, get a bigger one then you think you need. 30.kva instead of 25. for example. very little in the price at time of buyin, and no harder driven.

Or if you like a flutter, and a quick trip to Wales, how about this?
