thought id start a thread here , so basically i picked up a 87 900 8v carb in cork for €250 last summer in the hope of restoring it . when i finally got the car home i gave it a good clean , and found it looked a bit plain ,. when i had a good look around , i found two driver side wheel arches needed repair , top of windscreen laden with rusty stone chips , rear torque arm mounts for axle arms was all rotten(unsafe) and the door bottoms , nothing too bad , so heres the car when i got it

In the past few months ive been tinkering away at it , doing little jobs to make the exterior appealing , have not had the chance yet to get the rust done , but have a nice 60ftx40ft shed up now for the car and the other 6 900
    what ive done so far
paint the miniltes gloss black ,
    fitted rubber boot spoiler
    -83 grill ,
    mesh headlight protectors
    turbo front spoiler ,
    leather saab momo wheel
    new thermostat ,
    and spotlights

So ,in the next few weeks i hope to repair the structural rust and swap out the old 8 valve carburetor engine for a 4 speed manual 8 valve turbo , the 4 speed allows for quicker acceleration , heres the engine only having done 90,000 but boasting a 3 speed auto

The car currently has a set of minilites fitted but just acquired a set of inca wheel and wheel nuts , so in two minds whether or not to keep the minilites . still have to get a few small bits before i go ahead including a front hydraulic engine mount .

I love the black minilites, but your new alloys looks fab aswell... Also the two spot lights are a nice touch... :) Keep it up..
