Can I earn too much in one day for JSA?

Sorry for asking, but while the people at social welfare have been very nice, they use so many terms and scenarios that I don’t understand it at all.

I’ve applied for JSA as I work one day a week for 4 hours and am applying for the full-time jobs as well. They gave me casual docs to fill out each week.
It’s a technical job so I’m paid about E120 but some weeks I have no work so I get nothing. I need the experience the job offers but I can’t live and pay rent on that pay!

How is my allowance or is it calculated if I vary between making 140 and nothing?

Also, I just realised today that the company made a mistake and underpaid me for a month! This means the forms they filled for social welfare don’t have my correct pay – it’s about 80 off what I actually make working the one day.

Take the days pay subtract €20,get 60% of what's left, take that from your social welfare payment.

You need to give the correct rate to sw so they can asses your means correctly.
