I'm wearing this dress soon for my engagement party:

I'm planning on wearing it with skin colour tights and heels, but I have no idea what to wear over it. We'll be in an outside area in mid-April. There will be heat lamps, but it still won't be warm. I was thinking of a pashmina but I'm wondering if anyone has any better ideas? I'm useless with accessorising like that!

These are fabulous https://www.facebook.com/millhousedesignstudios (only a Fb page as website seems to be down) I have one in silver grey which I love, it's lovely and warm, 100% cotton, and it has a nice 'sheen' to it under the light. Lots of colours but the silver grey would be great with your dress IMO.

Shawls look great but can be a pain in the backside when it comes to keeping them on. Unless you find a nice brooch or something to secure

Totally agree with you! I don't believe I'd ever spent more than 20euro on a shawl, but when I tried that one on I found that once it's draped as you want it, the stitches sort of 'lock' together (for want of a better term!) So it stays put without a brooch or pin. That's why I splashed out around 70euro on it, can't be doing with annoying wraps and brooches!

What about a sequined jacket? Something like the one in the attached from Shutterbug (she is wearing it backwards as a top)
