External wall insulation leaking

    Hi all,

I built a 250msq bungalow last year. The construction method i used was 215mm block on the flat and 250mm of external insulation. The house is extremely easy to heat and nice and comfortable to live in, but... I have 3 south facing windows and they are leaking! The water appears to be coming in through the vertical window bead and the window. The contractor has made several attempts to fix this, including removing the revels and fitting a new window bead. The contractor has stopped the leaks for the moment but it is by pumping silicone around the edges.
The window bead itself seams to be a poor detail as it is only 5mm wide with 4mm of self adhesive foam.
Has anyone come across this before and if so how was it fixed?
Thanks in advance for the help.
