    Hi all,
as the title suggests - 1.1ltr '04 206 is cutting out @ idle. Its going fine when revved and driving ok, its just when coming to a stop at idle.
Its the wife's car and happened on the way to her work this morning. I didn't look at the filters yet. Serviced before x-mas so should have less than 3k miles done since, if that.
It just started cutting out this morning on her.
Any common issues or should I be looking at the fuel filter first. All the fuel is bought in a local Apple green garage.
No lights remain on the dash while driving.

    Thanks for any suggestions/replies.

Give it a rev and see how it settles back - does it drop below normal idle speed, labour and wobble a bit, and then die?

Might not be of any help and could be totally unrelated but when this was happening on my '01 1.1 206 it was down to a failing battery!

New battery and the problem was solved :) These seem to depend a hell of a lot on a battery even after the engine is running unlike older engines like the 1.3 Corolla I also had.

Not sure yet, I'll get her to go out to the car at lunch time with her phone and find out (I'm @ work also).
AFAIK, it just drops off without wobble. I'll confirm after lunch. Cheers.

Yes, new battery during the summer (I think) last year. Rev counter needle was behaving funny that time which is now not happening.

    Reason I ask is that's a useful indicator that it's too rich. Faulty MAF/Lambda, leaks around intake/exhaust, OBD-II codes, yadda-yadda... :D

Car perfect now again. It's behaving perfectly now.
Anyway, I'll check the filters later when I get home.

interesting to see what fault codes are recorded.

Would be as well to get to the root of the problem or the car will let you down when you least expect it

they are nutorius for the cylinder 4 injector as well. no harm to seal it up as water travels down the windscreen washer pipe and screws it up.

second hand coil pack went into the car a few years ago - could be on the way out again.
Interesting about the no 4 cylinder.

As above get it plugged in to see what faults (if any) are logged in the engine ecu.
Have seen a few 03's doing the same thing which can be wiring problem between the engine ecu to the enginebay fusebox.

Post your location and someone here maybe able to plugin to read any faults for you..:)
