    Hi
just after finding a ford flick type key in a car park this morning, normally I'd leave it in with the shop closest to where I found it, but this car park is shared by about 12 different businesses.
There is a ford garage about 2 miles from here or a garda station about the same distance, which is the best to leave it with?
btw I think its a key for a transit because the button to unlock the back doors has an outline of a van shape :)

Was there a van around the car park? They may well be looking for it if it's not a spare. Otherwise I'd hand it in to the station.

I would go to my local ford service dept. give it to them telling them you found it and they should be able to put the key into their system and get the owners details. (If their database is anything like BMW).
Tell them obviously your not looking for any personal info, tell them to hold into it and contact the owner.

Giving it to the Garda would be fruitless IMO as most people will not report a lost key and most Garda will just tag it and place it in the list and found box and never seeing the light if day again.

If it was me, probably the Ford garage, as if they are really stuck they would probably try their first to get a key cut. You could also have a quick wander through the car park and try open any van (Remotely) Van might have sign writing or some other obvious indication of the owner.

Fair play to you for putting in the effort to reunite the key with its owner.
