6 Month Smiles - Retainer Question

Hi all, I recently finished the 6 month smiles program and am very happy with the results.

I got the bonded retainer behind my top and bottom teeth, and was also given see-through retainers.

Just wondering do I need to wear these Essix retainers as much as possible, or whats the story? I was under the impression that it was either the bonded, or removable retainers?

    Thanks in advance

I have both as well. The bonded only covers six of my teeth and four on the top. My dentist said to wear the essix every night to prevent the other teeth moving

Thanks for that - do you have to wear the removable ones all day too for a period, or just at night?

I was told night only. Sometimes I put them in a bit early if i'm watching telly or knocking about. My teeth are still a bit wobbly so want to be sure they stay in place

Ah lads, ask your orthodontists, you paid them for their services.....

Advice will differ from patient to patient, so get your specific advice from your own orthodontist...
