    Hi I bought one of these and was just wondering if its risky to use a standard US to Ireland converter or do i need to get something more specific, Thanks

    What you need is an Ireland to US converter i.e. 220V to 110V.

    You should be fine, just make sure that the converter you use is rated (in watts) at greater than the power consumption listed on the back of that device.

    Just in case: you are going to use an actual converter (transformer) device and not a simple travel adapter?

    Make sure that you connect the earth too. That looks like a metal body device. You wouldn't want to be using it in a public gym without an earth as someone could get badly shocked

    The power adaptor needs a socket that accepts 3 pin US plugs.
