Anyone heard of these? Googled a mobile number for a car on donedeal and this site came up but it just redirects lots of times.

    That's a bit cheeky...

Seems automotion.ie is a scammola site for computer virus trickery and tom foolery.

The number also seems to be a DJ in limerick, where the car is. Don't know what to make of it.

Quick search shows the dj site is owned by Gordon Hayes who is also a director of Hayes a Trade Car Sales in Newcastlewest in Limerick. In business since 1996.

Thanks Colm. I didn't search too hard after my initial search led to dodgy redirects.

Anyone know anything about this guy as a dealer?

Bought my old BMW E90 from him about 4 years ago and never had any issues with it in 3 years of ownership. You can actually still see the car advertised on his listings on the website that Colm linked to. Ok guy to deal with it and he initially drove up and met me half ways to view the car. He specialized in BMWs at the time and had some very nice cars in stock. Didn't pay anywhere near that asking price for it either. :) Have no experience of dealing with him since as I was under the impression that he wasn't dealing in cars anymore.

Hope that is of some help.

Absolutely helpful Bazz, thank you. Looks like it's worth the journey for a look anyway.

    Cheers.

By the way, what should I be looking out for on top of turbo, gearbox oil change and swirl flaps?

Have you a link to the ad for the car you are buying?

Not sure if this will work. It's a 320d auto 2008 in limerick

Just make sure the timing chain is not rattling as they are notorious for having problems on that engine and are not cheap to fix. Asking price is fairly ambitious given the mileage too.

Yeah I'd be hoping to get it for around the 10k mark. I looked at a similar one last week, 2006 with 105k miles. Priced at €9250. There's also one in Dublin with around 150k miles for €9900. That's a 2009. They're rare enough in auto.
