Hi, we need to get power to an outbuilding so we can heat and light a couple of stables. There is no electricity on site at the moment, so we would need a new connection, but it's not a house with planning permission etc, is there any way I can get ESB networks to bring a supply to the stables?

    Many thanks

You'll just need to apply for a new connection, probably looking at a few thousand just to get the connection if it's in a rural area.

Only way your really going to find out is to apply to ESB. They will probally need a site plan and site location map along with the application form before they can give you a quotation for the new supply. You would also have to factor in any costs to do any civil works that would be required to get the connection to your building such as underground ducting. You would have to do this for ESB to pull their new cables.
