I got a letter saying i have to attend a group engagement session with other jobseekers tomorrow morning. What is this? I've only been on jobseekers for about 2 months. What happens when you go to one of these and am i gonna be there all day?

Nah. About an hour. You get a handout and watch a slide presentation about training options etc.

You will have to do a one on one interview a couple of weeks later. Mine took about 5 minutes because I had decided on a course I wanted to do (online) that they signed me up for and I started a few days later.

Probably best to have some kind of plan about what you want to do for the one on one. Good luck with it.

Just to follow up on this, i went this morning as said previously you just sit and watch someone talk with a slide presentation then theres a one on one meeting where you have to fill out a cv like form.. they didn't seem to care too much so i'm sure a lot of people will be relieved by that. All was done within an hour .
