Hi been trying out long sleeve Nike, Adidas running tops on the 'high street' and it just doesn't seem to work? Is it that I've not found the right top or is it just that that look doesn't suit me? or is it done in this country?.

I do run, but was experimenting with the look when not running. Hasn't worked so far.

    Advice appreciated

    K :)

When you say 'not done in this country' - have you seen it done elsewhere?

To be honest, I can't imagine how running gear would look good when not running. It'd be the same to me as "why doesn't my bikini work as casual wear". It's clothing with a specific function, not fashion clothing. That's just my opinion though.

I think it looks really naff! I've seen guys wear Under Armour stuff with jeans or chinos and it looks really bad! All the sports brands do casual wear, stick with that stuff.

I've heard that in the USA it's quite normal for people to wear their workout gear to shops etc afterwards, maybe not if they're not exercising at all though.

Anyway it hasn't really worked for me so far......maybe a light nike/addidas jacket rather than work out gear itself? :)

    Thanks

Both those brand do really nice tshirts too, and casual runners, jackets, hoodies which are nice for casual wear or post gym. There's nothing wrong with popping to the shops in gym gear going to or from workout, I just think it's a weird choice for everyday wear!

Have been finding lately a lot of girls where Gym gear around college and it looks shocking as i just dont understand why do they have to wear gym gear ?.

You have done your make up and hair and you put on gym gear. The amount of underwear outlines you see with girls wear running leggings is priceless LoL

As a lad i only ever wear my gym stuff if i am running and thats it. No one whats to see a lad walking around in a pair of leggings, skin tight tee and a man bag for college :D
