So what is your opinion on those people who will engage in bitching or talk about other people be in among friends, neighbors, class mates, colleague, families. I was talking with someone today who said to me that she finds people who won't speak about others or engage in bitching to be boring or unexciting and generally not much fun or a laugh to be around. The example she gave me was that she was giving out about 2 other girls on their course to this other girl and for good reason ( they exclude others when planning things and can be rude towards some of the others ) The other girl just replied saying " oh do you think so?" when my friend highlighted that the pay can be so rude instead of just agreeing as it was clearly obvious they were or even standing up for them. But she offered no opinion and my friend thinks she is boring and doesn't want to spend a lot of time with her now. Any opinions?

You're asking people their opinions on people who have opinions.

I'm either old or tired. I haven't figured it out yet.

I've always stayed outta that in work and often-times has resulted in me missing out on events and training. Could not care less though as that is NOT me and not the person that I am, not the way I was raised!

Life is too short to be getting involved in crap like that, or making anothers life more difficult,

Find myself doing it from time to time, I'd say everybody does, it's not a great personality trait.

    Tis human nature I suppose.

I try to avoid it at all costs, especially if I'm friends with the person. I would hate for someone to be bitching about me. The only people I bitch about are people I dislike and they already know what I think of them so I don't care :pac:

I don't know if I've ever known *anyone* who didn't at one time or another talk behind someone's back. Even people who say they hate bitching.

That's fine except that everyone discusses people.

I'd say most people discuss all three.

I do it now and then, so can't pretend I'm all sweetness and light. I don't make a habit of it though and can't stand people who do nothing else for no apparent reason.

I think we all do it but some people take it too far and I always try and remember it says more about the person bitching than it does the person they're bitching about.
