How's things everyone,I write songs and they come out the way they come out..depends on what mood I'm feeling that day.

I like Irish folk also like blues, rock.and this reflects in my songs some songs are very ballad like and some are nearly blues others nearly country folk about them.

This doesn't bother me as I like the songs.but for the purposes of making an album with a recently started band or sending demos off to record labels or attracting a fan base should I try and stick to one style?

Or to make separate demos with each style for separate record labels?

Also would I try promoting songs or an album myself before sending them off to a record company.or do that first.

    Appreciate any positive input.cheers.

The best thing you can do to get a record label interested is prove to them that the songs/band have attracted a fan base. If you can't achieve that, it will be a desperate hard sell to anyone.

Enjoy playing the songs live, and whatever happens as a result is a bonus. Do whatever style you want.
