So with the amount of airtime the LPT and household charge are getting, I thought it best to sort it out before tomorrows deadline. The LPT is coming out on a regular monthly DD, but when you go to pay the €200 household charge it also gives a monthly DD option. Having not been able to get through to the Revenue helpline, would anybody know if that means the €200 is spread out, or if it would be taken in one payment, despite the monthly DD title?

It's spread out a monthly basis. So, that's gonna be €22 starting on the 9th of April towards the end of year in addition to your LPT.

Great, I hoped as much but with no pay period on the confirmation page, I wasn't too sure. Thanks for the reply.

Is this the NPPR tax you are talking about?

2013 was the last year that this was payable, so you will incur penalpies if only paying now.

The due date was 30th June 2013 and there is a penalty charge of €20 per month thereafter.

No, this is the household charge, the precursor to the LPT. Not that the three different house taxes would be in any way confusing though...
