I am going to New York in 2 weeks and looking to buy a graphics card while I am over there. Do you think this is a good idea because I am worried about transporting it. If it is a good idea what card would you reccomend?
My budget is 300-350 dollars but willing to stretch to 400.

You will save 30 euro. Then you gotta spend wasted time on your trip to New York looking for a graphics card Zzzzzzz... Then worry about it in luggage getting bashed about..... if it is faulty when you get home boo hoo.....

Go enjoy your holiday.... Forget the small savings.

If you insist an r9 280x or gtx770 will squeeze into that budget say 380 dollars thats a good guess bricks and mortar shop.
